Announcements

Blades of Avalon is please to offer a tier of membership that grants access to our popular theory sessions without the need of a full training membership.

Theory session topics range from historical to technical, crafting to material science. All with a common theme of Historical Martial Arts, as it once was practiced to the modern application of tournament sparring. These sessions generally run on most Sundays with a target offering of 3 session per month. We'll be updating our Schedule with theory classes as they become scheduled in, so check back often to see what's on deck.

Registration is now required to attend theory sessions, and all of our membership teirs include access to theory.

Blades of Avalon is very pleased to announce that we have managed to fit in a second location:

The Dildo Brewery Company’s Production Facility in New Harbour!

Join us on Tuesday nights from 6pm to 9pm in this landmark fish processing plant repurposed to a beloved local brewery to practice the art of the German longsword in the traditions of the Grand Master Johannes Liechtenauer, the Freifechter Joachim Meyer, and the anonymous author of Manuscript 3227a.

Registration is required.

We are heading to Butter Pot Provincial Park for the 1st Annual Historical Jamboree, and we invite you to join us.

The Goal

This event provides a space for Newfoundland and Labrador’s historical martial artists to move out of the salle and into nature.

The objective is to Connect and Practice. This is an informal jamboree focused on the participants. It is an opportunity to discuss technique, share meals, and strengthen the bonds within our community.
