Purpose
The Corporation is organized exclusively for educational, cultural, historical, and community purposes, including but not limited to:

Teaching historical martial arts (including modern interpretations based on primary source manuscripts and historical combat treatises) using blunt training weapons that imitate those used in historical combat sources

Conducting research into historical martial traditions and manuscripts

Hosting seminars, workshops, demonstrations, and educational events

Preserving and promoting historical martial culture and knowledge

Engaging in any lawful activities consistent with the non-profit provisions of the Corporations Act of Newfoundland and Labrador
Mission Statement
Blades of Avalon Inc. is dedicated to educating and inspiring communities across the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador through the preservation, research, and practice of martial arts focused on historical combat. Our techniques are modern interpretations drawn from primary source manuscripts and historical combat treatises. We foster a respectful and inclusive environment that promotes lifelong learning, cultural appreciation, and the cultivation of sportsmanship among practitioners.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to be a mature, friendly, and communal organization dedicated to the exploration, preservation, and dynamic practice of historical combat martial arts. We strive to inspire continuous learning, foster camaraderie and sportsmanship, and promote cultural appreciation through authentic and innovative engagement with the broader community.
Non-Profit Nature
The Corporation shall operate without purpose of pecuniary gain to its members. Any profits or other accretions shall be used solely to further the purposes of the Corporation.
